Das Pub ist super schön, gar nicht weit von einer Wohnung, die ich mir damals angeguckt habe. Die Gegend ist sehr nett. Suburbia pur. Wenn ich nicht jeden Tag nach Bloomsbury commuten müsste, würde ich auch noch weiter rausziehen.
Die Geburtstagsrunde war klasse, ein echter Mix von Leuten, Künstler, Osteopathen, Musiker usw. Sehr interessante Diskussionen.
Allerdings hat sich bei mir auch eine Bildungslücke gezeigt. "The Catcher in the Rye" ist offensichtlich ein sehr berühmtes Buch von J.D. Salinger, dass irgendwie jeder im Englischunterricht gelesen hat... Ich nicht, bei mir waren es Grapes of Wrath, A Scarlet Letter und ein bißchen Shakespeare...
